ROXBURY, NJ – The Roxbury High School boys lacrosse team whipped its counterparts from Jefferson on Saturday with a 13-1 blowout.

Playing in chilly dampness, the Gaels dominated the Falcons in all four periods. Jefferson’s only goal came in the first period, when Roxbury shooters found success three times.

It was a 3-goal game for three Gaels: Dave Biank, Eric D’Arminio and Paul Shadel. Biank also had two assists, D’Arminio had one and Shadel had three.

Single goals were landed by Connor Mahoney, Anthony Perhacs, Zach Poissant and Owen Tarnowski. Matt Dancsecs contributed to the victory by notching three assists.

Roxbury goaltender Wayne Safreed made seven saves. Fellow goalie Brandon Maresca blocked three Jefferson shots.

The 8-1 Gaels next play on Tuesday, taking on Morristown-Beard School.
