ROXBURY, NJ - With Monday's 2-1 overtime win against rival Randolph, the Roxbury High School boys soccer team reached 4-0, its best season start in about five years.

The Gaels are so far living up to Roxbury High School Athletics Director Stu Mason's pre-season comment: "The team was rebuilding last year, he said. “This year, we have higher expectations.”

In the hard-fought battle against the Rams, it was an OT goal by sophomore Brendon Salmon that gave Roxbury the win. T.J. McMullin was the other scorer, finding the net in the last minutes of regulation to tie the game while Omar Mougharbel and Ryan Sclar did their part by notching assists.

The team will shoot for a fifth consecutive win on Thursday when it takes on Pope John XXIII in Sparta at 4 p.m.
