ROXBURY, NJ - Each year, the children and youths of First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna start off the fall Sunday School year with a mission project. Over the summer, the congregation collects specific school items, and then the children and youth assemble them into complete kits.

This year, the school kits seemed more relevant than ever with Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma bringing destruction throughout Texas and Florida.

Children from four years old up took cloth bags and fillled them with notebooks, pencils, scissors, erasers, a ruler, a 24-count box of crayons and a hand held pencil sharpener. Due to the generosity of the greater congregation, the children and youths assembled 60 kits that will be sent in partnership through Church World Service and the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
