ROXBURY, NJ - Roxbury resident Kevin Fulton, who won the NJSIAA diving championship in February, was honored Monday by the township.
"Some athletes play their entire life in hopes of winning a championship," said Roxbury Township Attorney and state Assemblyman Anthony Bucco as he, and Roxbury Mayor Jim Rilee, presented Fulton with a plaque. Bucco said he understood the countless hours of practice and the determination needed for any athlete to become a champion.
Fulton, who attends the Morris County School of Technology, beat Cherry Hill's Ethan O'Neill for the championship, scoring a personal best of 578.10. He came in second-place in 2014 and fifth-place in 2013.
