ROXBURY, NJ - Each school in Roxbury has a Cub Scout pack that is inviting new members in grades K-5 to join.

The packs serving Kennedy, Franklin and Jefferson schools are accepting girls and boys.  The pack at Nixon School is currently a boy-only pack, but girls from Nixon school are free to join the other packs.

Cub Scouts is a family program that instills values and teaches life skills while children have fun with their parent.

When children join Cub Scouts, they are placed in "dens" of children who are in the same grade.  The dens will be all-boy or all-girl so there is still girl-time and guy-time.

While families can join a pack they like, children usually want to be in the same pack as their classmates.  So, over time, children from each school have tended to join the same pack.

Jefferson School boys and girls are invited to join Pack 163.  Dens are currently meeting and new members are welcome.
