ROXBURY, N.J. – The Roxbury Department of Public Works (DPW) is asking motorists to be patient as several road projects get underway this week. Leaving early might help too.
Succasunna Road, Landing
Milling and repaving should be finished by Wednesday, said the DPW. No parking on the street will be allowed between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Milling is expected to begin Monday afternoon with completion expected Wednesday. The road will be open, but it will be reduced to two lanes (one in each direction) during daylight hours. Access to The Learning Experience will be maintained “as much as possible,” said the DPW, but it might be interrupted between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
“Any delays during the milling operation will be minimal,” said the township. “However during paving operations scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 29, there will be period where non-emergency vehicle access will be prohibited.”
The DPW is asking that people heading to The Learning Experience come in from the Route 46 side.

Milling of Main Street is scheduled to begin Thursday and should be done on Friday. The front entrance and parking lot of the Roxbury Public Library is scheduled to be milled Tuesday afternoon and it should be done by Wednesday afternoon, said the DPW.
A contractor for the County of Morris will begin milling and paving Kenvil Avenue on Monday. This should be finished by Thursday, said the DPW, noting there will be detours.
“We apologize in advance for any inconvenience these road paving projects cause for your commute or travels,” said the DPW. “Your cooperation in avoiding these areas is greatly appreciated. If anyone has any questions please call the Public Works Department at 973-448-2069.”
