ROXBURY, NJ - The Roxbury High School field hockey team celebrated Senior Night the right way on Monday: It shut-out its opponent.

The Gaels beat Morris Hills 5-0, bringing their season record to 2-0-1.

It was an especially good Senior Night for senior Grace Loizou, who scored three of Roxbury's goals. The others were landed by senior Shannon Brady and junior Zoe Pickett.

Morris Hills goaltender Julia Obser blocked 19 Roxbury shots.

"The rain and cold didn't dampen our Senior Night," said the team's Facebook page, referring to the remnants of Hurricane Delta that made for less-than-ideal playing conditions. "A little different this year but happy we were able to honor our amazing Seniors!"

The team's other seniors are Carly Corrente, Nicole Lisa, Andrea Ponce and Alyssa Rodriguez.

The Gaels next play Pope John XXIII on Wednesday.
