SPARTA, N.J. - The Roxbury High School field hockey team rolled over Pope John XXIII today with a 6-0 shutout.

The Gaels were dominant with an all-around solid performance as five players scored goals and three others notched assists. Senior Kayla Bedel-Franklin found the goal twice and junior Kaitlyn O'Shea made two saves. Pope John goaltender Erin Callahan made 10 saves.

The Roxbury win might serve to bolster the team's confidence as it prepares to host the second round of Morris County play this Saturday. Roxbury is seeded 5th with a 7-2 record.
