ROXBURY, NJ - The Roxbury High School field hockey team is gearing up to take on fourth-seeded Jefferson High School next week in Morris County Tournament play.

The 13th-seeded Gaels are hoping their success against Parsippany this week, in the preliminary round of the tournament, will carry through in their Oct. 3 battle with Jefferson. Roxbury shut-out Parsippany Hills 3-0 in the Sept. 27 battle.

Playing in intense heat, the Gaels came out of the gate quickly and scored all three goals in the first half. The first two were shot by veteran Emma Karnitsky.
