MADISON, NJ – The Roxbury High School girls lacrosse team’s record improved to 4-2 Thursday when it easily trounced the team from Madison.

The Gaels pounded the Dodgers for a 12-4 victory. Roxbury’s offensive onslaught began early, with seven goals scored in the first half to Madison’s one, and left Madison with virtually no chance to rebound in the second half. The Gaels scored five more in the second while the Dodgers managed only three.

Roxbury’s goals were spread among its players with Olivia Serpa scoreing three, Riley Cummis, Emma Karnitsky and Emily Koepfler each scoring two and Chelsea Artigliere, Grace Monaghan and Sadie Wilson each scoring one. Goalie Jordan Segrave made 15 saves.

The Gaels next play Monday against Morris Knolls at 4 p.m. at home.
