RANDOLPH, NJ - The Roxbury High School girls lacrosse team ended its season with a nice win over its rivals from Randolph on Wednesday.

Despite losing its shot at a state championship, due to a 16-4 defeat on Tuesday to Summit in state Tournament action, the Gaels bounced back to beat Randolph 10-7. The team ended its year with a 15-6 record, tying the most wins in a season for a Roxbury girls lacrosse team.

Roxbury dominated Randolph from the start, scoring seven goals in the first half to Randolph's four. Both teams scored three in the next half.

Roxbury's Melissa Murphy led the scoring with five goals. Emma Karnitsky found the net four times and Tara Roumes added one to the tally.

Gaels goaltender Mary Piccitto made four saves.
