ROXBURY, N.J. - Playing two days in a row, and chalking up two shutouts in a row, the Roxbury High School girls volleyball team on Tuesday defeated the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles 2-0.

The first game of the match was a tight one as the Gaels squeaked out a win 25-27. Morris Knolls made it easier for Roxbury in the second game, letting the Gaels walk away with a 25-13 victory.

The wins brought the Gaels' season record to 5-1.

Aniela Martinez scored 14 service points during the match. Reghan Palanchi was credited with 14 kills. Jenna Shirkey racked up 16 assists. Sydney Dunsmore made nine digs.

The team next takes on Chatham at home on Thursday at 4 p.m.
