ROXBURY, NJ - The Roxbury High School Debate Team had an unprecedented second win of an entire debate tournament this year when both the Affirmative and Negative teams won three rounds each to topple eight other teams on Jan. 13.

The team battled for eight rounds at Jefferson Township High School, accumulating almost 100 more points than the second place team. It was the first time in more than a decade that Roxbury successfully brought home two overall wins in a season.

Next up is the Debate Championships at West Morris High School on Feb. 10, a tournament that ends with a sudden-death bracket style format.

"The Roxbury High School Debate Team will do its best to bring home the trophy," said team advisor Elizabeth Heddy.
