ROXBURY, NJ - Roxbury High School students and teachers who put together this year's Mini-THON fundraiser were honored recently by the Roxbury Rotary Club.

The Rotarians, at their May 4 meeting, praised Mini-THON advisors Michael Gottfried and Dan Coiro, Roxbury Interact Club President Sarah Waldron and two committee members: Hailey Macrae and Holly Van Ness.

Rotary Club member Steve Alford presented the group with a plaque recognizing their efforts, which raised more than $50,000 for pediatric cancer research.

The Roxbury High School Mini-THON technically falls under the Key Club. However, it operates as its own group within the club with student captains and members. Funds raised during the event were donated to the Four Diamonds, which covers medical bills for families as well as cancer research.
