ROXBURY, NJ - The Roxbury High School marching band recently took first place for its group, and won many other awards, at an invitational competition.

Competing at the West Orange Invitational, the  Roxbury Marching Gaels took the top prize in Group 3A with a score of 85.1.

The first place award was one of eight brought home by the marching band. The Gaels also were awarded Group 3A Best Effect, Group 3A Best Visual and Group 3A Best Music.

Additionally, Roxbury received four of the six Best Overall Awards including: best overall color guard, best overall percussion, best overall visual and best overall effect.
