ROXBURY, NJ – This year marks the 50th anniversary of competitive summer swimming at Roxbury's Horseshoe Lake.

The team, which started in 1970 as the "Horseshoe Lake Swim Team," officially became the "Roxbury Racers" in 1981.

Because of Covid-19, this year's Racers, led by head coach Jen Bauman, are conducting an abbreviated season consisting of socially distanced practices and spirit day.

But the team still swims!

Pictured here is 9-year-old Arthur Potocki in his third year with the Racers.

In his research, Arthur discovered this was a very important year for his swim team. He made this poster to commemorate this important milestone.
