ROXBURY, NJ – The Roxbury High School soccer teams improved their records on Tuesday as both the boys and girls teams defeated their counterparts from Parsippany Hills.

Playing at home, the boys went into the second half tied 1-1. Another goal in the second half, combined with strong defense, gave the Gaels a 3-1 victory.

Roxbury’s three goals were scored by Brian Nichols, Doddi Pincay and Ryan Sclar. Jullian Randall and Sclar chalked up assists.

Meanwhile, in Parsippany, the girls won by an even larger margin. Five different Gaels scored goals and goalie Sarah Olivero made six saves. Roxbury left the field 5-2 winners.

Goals were scored by Karly Forker, Amanda Gale, Madison Martino, Julia Picciallo and Ashleigh Sarafin.

The soccer teams take on their rival neighbors Randolph on Thursday. The girls will play 4 p.m. at Horseshoe Lake Park while the boys will be in Randolph.

The girls are now 4-1 and the boys are at 3-3.
