MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The Roxbury High School girls volleyball team easily defeated Morristown on Monday, a victory that brought the Gaels' record to 7-1.
Roxbury pounded The Colonials in the first game of the match, scoring 25-11. Morristown did a bit better in the second contest, scoring 17 points, but it was far from enough to overcome the Gaels.
Roxbury's Sydney Dunsmore made five service points, two kills, one ace, one assist and five digs during the match. Reghan Palanchi made eight kills, three blocks one dig and one assist. Haley Cook scored nine service points and Aniela Martinez scored six service points and three aces.
The Gaels next take on Union Catholic in an away game on Oct. 4.
