ROXBURY, NJ - Roxbury High School denior Emma Karnitsky was honored recently at the 25th Annual NJSIAA Scholar/Athlete Awards Program in Edison.

Karnitsky was named the 2017/2018 NJSIAA Scholar Athlete and awarded a $500 scholarship. She is ranked in the top ten of her class and lettered in both field hockey and lacrosse. She is also the Gaels' all-time leading scorer in girls lacrosse.

Emma plans to attend The College of New Jersey in fall and signed her NCAA Division 3 celebratory letter last Friday at Roxbury High School.
