ROXBURY, NJ - The graves of about 800 veterans in three Roxbury cemeteries were adorned with American flags on Saturday in honor of Armed Forces Day.

The flags were placed on the graves by members of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post and its Auxiliary. Soggy weather didn't stop the volunteers from installing the flags at veterans' graves at the cemetery on Main Street in Succasunna, the Flanders-Hillside Cemetery and the Lower Berkshire Valley Cemetery.

VFW members John Lehnert, Al Nesbit, Jeff McDonald, Chuck Argenziano, Donald Banta, Rick Collari  and Roger Tasnady were joined by and Auxiliary members Nancy Bottona, Anita Fehsal and Caye McLaughlin. Also helping out were Tasnady's sons, William and Roger, his daughter-in-law, Lisa and granddaughters, Samantha, Lauren, Ashley and Alexandra.
