Introducing Katie Goeke for Roxbury Board of Education

October 25, 2021

I have been a Roxbury resident for over 21 years. I have twins who grew up in Roxbury, attended Jefferson and Lincoln/Roosevelt elementary schools, Eisenhower Middle School, and who are now seniors in Roxbury High School.

I am very involved in the activities they participate in; I have been part of PTAs, chaperoned class field trips, coached girls recreation volleyball, and I am ...

Shawn Potillo - Roxbury Township Councilman Ward 1

Hello Roxbury!

My name is Shawn Potillo, and I am the current Ward 1 Councilman here in Roxbury.  Ward 1 covers Port Morris, Landing, and a portion of Ledgewood, but I am dedicated to all of Roxbury.  I have had the privilege to live in Ward 1 for more than half of my 43 years of life.  I grew up playing in the streets, yards, and parks of Port Morris and I now raise my family ...

Keith Griffin - Roxbury Town Council Candidate

Hi, I’m Keith Griffin and if you live in Roxbury’s 1st Ward, I’m hoping for your support in helping me become your next Town Councilman. I was inspired to run because Ward 1 continues to be left behind on business and infrastructure. There are well maintained sidewalks in Netcong and beautiful cobblestone in Mt Arlington, which end at the Roxbury line. Ledgewood and Succasunna ...

Jen Cooper - Roxbury Town Council Candidate

My name is Jen Cooper and I’m excited at the opportunity to bring a new voice and set of experiences to represent Roxbury on the Town Council. As an At Large candidate, I want to help ensure that our local government reflects our community.  We are 51% women, yet 88% male on the current Town Council. Roxbury is 18% over the age of 65, yet 72% of the current Town Council are over 65. We ...

Corine Borrero - Roxbury Town Council Candidate

I’m Corine Borrero. My family moved to Roxbury Township in 1997, choosing this community because of its affordability and great schools.  I have four children, two already graduated from Roxbury schools and two currently in Roxbury elementary schools. I have happily served the Roxbury community by coordinating holiday meals as well as an annual youth-led fundraiser for Roxbury ...

How Should I Manage My Retirement Plan?

Employer-sponsored retirement plans are more valuable than ever. The money in them accumulates tax deferred until it is withdrawn, typically in retirement.

Distributions from a tax-deferred retirement plan such as a 401(k) are taxed as ordinary income and may be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty if withdrawn prior to age 59½. And contributions to a 401(k) plan actually ...

Why New Kitchen Floor Tiles Will Revive Your Kitchen

Don’t start ripping out those kitchen cabinets just yet. If you’re looking for a way to revive an old, dated kitchen, look to your kitchen backsplash and kitchen floor tiles first, because you might just need a new kitchen tile floor.

Not only is tile kitchen flooring a more affordable flooring option and less involved process than ripping out and replacing all your cabinets, ...
