Eight Roxbury High School Students Accepted into Region Honors Choir

ROXBURY, NJ - Eight Roxbury High School students were recently accepted into an ensemble composed of the top singers in northern New Jersey.

The ensemble is called the North Jersey School Music Association Region High School Honors Choir. The North Jersey School Music Association pushes for the advancement of music instruction in northern New Jersey’s schools that provide in-service and enrichment opportunities for practicing and retired teachers and prospective music educators. It also sponsors various festivals and performing groups for K-12 students.

Accepted from Roxbury were senior Emily Bazewicz, sophomore Heather Doherty, senior Isaac Gentle, freshman Jacob Hachey, freshman Justin Kurbansade, freshman Cristian Marrero, freshman Gabriela Mutone and junior Jacob Wood

The students will be performing under the direction of Russell Robinson and Jamie Bunce at Bloomfield High School on Jan. 27.
