ROXBURY, NJ - Roxbury High School students involved in ceramics design won several awards, including a best-in-show first-place, at a recent competition.
“Tonight was very exciting as we earned not one, not two, but six awards at the extremely competitive Montville MUDD Ceramics Invitational," said Roxbury High School Art Teacher Katherine Machere. The 7th Annual All Ceramics Invitational Exhibition took place at Montville High School on April 10.

"There were over 80 phenomenal pieces of artwork there," Machere noted.

The ceramic works were judged in four categories: Hand Built Functional, Hand Built Sculptural, Wheel Thrown Functional and Wheel Thrown Sculptural. First, second, third, and honorable mention were awarded in each category along with prizes in categories for Best in Show.
