ROXBURY, NJ - The Roxbury Public Library needs to make room for a new collection, and the Friends of the Roxbury Public Library will be hosting an outdoor, clearance book sale on Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We have such a huge supply of gently used books that we’re offering at reduced prices,” said Patricia Beach, president of the Friends of the Roxbury Public Library. “The book sale is a great way to stock up on books and DVDs, or even shop for Mother’s Day.”
All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Roxbury Public Library, which funds the Library’s substantial program offerings all year long.
“Every penny generated from this sale goes right back to the library for the benefit of the whole community,” said President of the Roxbury Library Board of Trustees Aldo Palma. “The Friends of the Roxbury Public Library sponsor our countless offerings of programs and concerts for children and adults, books, equipment and services that the library could not otherwise provide to our patrons.”
The sale will take place entirely outside in the front parking lot, making it easy to social distance and shop safely at your convenience. Masks are required. Cash of checks accepted. No appointments are necessary. Park in the back lot or on Main Street and please bring your own reusable bags.
“We have a nice assortment of current titles and popular authors that are available to buy at a fraction of bookstore prices,” noted Janet Rose, Friends’ volunteer who leads the book sale efforts.
For this sale, the library has a bountiful offering of books, DVDs, and music CDs. No donations will be accepted at this time.
