ROXBURY, NJ - Seven Roxbury High School students successfully auditioned for and were accepted into the American Choral Directors Association National Honors Choir recently.
The prestigious ensemble is composedof the top high school and collegiate singers in the United States.
The students _ Seniors Bryan Gonzalez, Ian Hachey, Austin Kurbansade, Ivan Largo, and Jacob Wood along with Junior Matthew Malsbury and Sophomore Joseph Negron - will be performing at the American Choral Directors Association National Conference in Kansas City, Missouri from Feb. 27 to March 2. They will be under the direction of Jefferson Johnson, director of choral activities at the University of Kentucky.
The American Choral Directors Association is a national organization founded in 1959 to serve the professional needs of all choir directors. From its origin, ACDA has promoted excellence in choral music through its workshops, symposia, choral program exchanges, international efforts, and especially through its conferences.
