ROXBURY, NJ - The Asian Diner in Ledgewood on Tuesday welcomed the public to the grand opening of its bar, offering free food and free music.

The 1,000-square-foot area will be used for more than just drinking beer, wine and cocktails, said Asian Diner owner Lily Chen. She said there will be different types of bands playing on Saturday nights, when the tables will be removed so people can dance and party.

The Asian Diner (a TAPinto Roxbury sponsor) is attached to the Quality Inn at 1691 Route 46. It offers a wide variety of Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine in an elegant setting that includes a substantially sized banquet room.

Entertaining those at Thursday's grand opening was pianist/vocalist Tony Bartone of Netcong.

Chen said the establishment is doing well. The restaurant has been the site for several Roxbury Chamber of Commerce luncheons and was recently the scene of the Roxbury Rotary Club's first charity art auction.

It Began With Filling Your Tank; Now They Fix Your Grandson’s Car

When we drive east on Route 10 through Roxbury, many of us might remember a Shell station at the Randolph border next to the golf range. It was in that station that Nancy and Peyton Knight began their long history of auto repair in the township.

That was 1983 and soon the Knights’ business grew and expanded. The humble gas station gradually morphed into a state-of-the-art ...

Go to Peru, See Machu Piccu, Then Eat Your Way through the Rest of the Country

April 5, 2017

They arrive by the plane load, wearing hiking boots, backpacks and headbands.  "Machu Piccu?," the Peruvian customs official asks wearily.  And off they go to one of the world's most intoxicating sights -- and the mountaintop home of the nation's most famous site.

In the process, however, they are doing themselves a huge injustice.

For in their quest to follow ...
