I’m Jill Sydor, and if you live in Roxbury’s fantastic 2nd Ward, I’m running to be your Town Councilwoman. My family and I have resided on Eyland Avenue for fifteen years. Prior to living in Roxbury, I lived in NYC where I served on the board of a 1904 building. During my tenure, we developed the ten year capital investment plan with minimal financial impact to residents.
I met my husband Mike, married and moved back to my home state of New Jersey. Living in an 1840’s home, I fully understand the concept of maintaining something while also making it viable for the future. Roxbury deserves the same; we should not stand still. You deserve better. Roxbury deserves better.
My thirty years global experience in design and construction procurement has given me broad experience in working across complex organizations, strategic planning, and budgeting. I’d like the opportunity to use my skills to help our town thrive now and in the future. Whether it’s timely repair of sidewalks and roads, or working with the economic development committee and property owners to make better use of empty buildings across Routes 46 and 10 by bringing in new businesses, I am committed to helping Roxbury improve in every area possible.
This November 5th, let’s vote for the leadership and advocacy you deserve. My name is Jill Sydor; this is why I’m running to be your Ward 2 Councilwoman. Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on November 5th. To find your polling place, click here. If you are not sure what ward you live in, you can find out here. The map is from 2018 and still applies to 2019.
Thank you for your time.
