ROXBURY, NJ - A Roxbury Girl Scouts Junior Troop, whose members are working toward their Bronze Awards, will be holding a drive-through Girl Scout Cookie Sale next month.

The event, hosted by Junior Troop 96603, will take place April 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Horseshoe Lake Park in Succasunna.

The Troop is composed of fifth-graders at Lincoln-Roosevelt School. The girls are working toward their Bronze Award, which is earned by completing a community service project. Their goal is to help people impacted by COVID-19.

Toward that end, the Scouts are collecting, as donations, boxes of cookies. The boxes will be given to the COVID-19 Unit at Morristown Medical Center, to Merry Heart Senior Care and to a homeless outreach program.

The Troop, which is also accepting monetary donations to buy boxes of cookies, hopes to provide at least 100 boxes to each of the three recipients.

At the drive-through sale, visitors will be able to donate to the troop's project, or buy cookies for themselves, to help the Scouts reach their goal. Pre-orders are being taken at Pre-Orders must be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Any pre-order not picked up by 1 p.m. will be donated.
