ROXBURY, NJ - The Ferro Monte Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the Revolution (NSDAR) is hoping to secure the donation of 610 holiday wreaths to be placed on the graves of Roxbury veterans in December.

For the sixth year, the group is participating in the national Wreaths Across America campaign. As was done in those prior years, wreaths will be put on veterans' graves in three Succasunna cemeteries: At the First Presbyterian Church, the United Methodist Church and at Flanders-Hillside Cemetery.

The donated wreaths will be placed on the veteran's graves on Dec. 14, designated as "Wreaths Day." The 11 a.m. event, on Main Street in Succasunna, will include comments by military and political dignitaries as well as food and beverages.

So far, wreath sponsorship pages created by the Ferro Monte Chapter and the Succasunna churches have secured 273 wreath sponsorships, about 45 percent of the goal.

The organizers say, online, that their goal is "To Remember, Honor our Roxbury's Veterans and to Teach our future Veterans that we are and will be thankful for their service and show them 'We Do Not Forget, We Will Never Forget.'"
