MORRISTOWN, N.J.- On Aug. 23, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, (FEMA) released revised preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (pFIRMS).
FEMA releases preliminary FIRM/FIS to provide local officials and property owners the opportunity for input early in the map adoption process. This updated information helps municipalities in planning for and reducing risk of flood damage.
Preliminary Flood Maps can be viewed on the FEMA website. Directions to view specific locations are provided. FEMA is also planning public open houses in November.
