DENVILLE, NJ - A Succasunna woman faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated, for parking a vehicle in the fast lane of Route 10 last weekend, police said.
The woman, Kimberly Peslak, 26, came to the attention of police when someone called their dispatcher on Dec. 2 to report "an SUV parked in the fast lane," said a report issued by Denville police. "The caller advised the dispatcher that the driver of the vehicle appeared to be unconscious behind the wheel," police said.
When police arrived at the scene near Route 10 west and Franklin Road, they found that Peslak "was exhibiting signs of alcohol impairment" and arrested her. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing to take a breath test, reckless driving, obstructing the passage of other vehicles and improper parking, police said.
