ROXBURY, NJ  - Roxbury High School track and field runners Karly Forker and Kevin Sembrat won races at Thursday's Morris County Championship, an event that also saw the girls 4X400-meter relay team also take a first place.

Overall, the Gaels took second place at the event, as the top spot went to rival Randolph. The racing took place at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.

Individual and team highlights include:

  • Senior Karly Forker won the 600-meter race to be crowned Morris County Champion
  • Senior Kevin Sembrat won the 300-meter race to be crowned Morris County Champion and tied the all-time county record
  • The girls 4x400 relay of Bridget Doherty (Gr 11), Jess Cammarata (Gr 12), Jordan Morris (Gr 11), and Karly Forker (Gr 12) won
  • Junior Jordan Morris placed third in the 300-meter race.
  • Junior Bridget Doherty placed third in the 600-meter race.
  • Senior Chloe Bryan placed fourth in the 55-meter dash.
  • Junior Aaliyah Goldberry placed sixth in the 55-meter hurdles.
  • The boys 4x400m relay team of Luis Rodriguez (Gr 12), Andrew Marino (Gr 11), Brandon Longtine (Gr 12) and Kevin Sembrat (Gr 12) were sixth.
