Flannery’s Pub in Fanwood will be sponsoring the 2nd Annual St. Patty’s Day Fundraiser for the Fanwood and Scotch Plains youth sports programs on Saturday, March 10, from 3 to 9pm on the north side of the Fanwood Train Station.

Co-owners Sean Flannery and Brian Walters grew up in Scotch Plains, participating in the youth sports programs they now support as adults.  “This is one of the ways that we want to give back to the community”, said Brain Walters.

Last year’s event raised $2,500 and was distributed to benefit Fanwood Youth Organization (FYO baseball), the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Youth Baseball Association and the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Police Athletic League.

While fundraising is one of the objects of Saturday’s event, the other intent is to provide a bevy of family friendly fun.  There will be four live bands, face painting, a clown and a raffle, Irish food and drinks. Donation is $10 at the door, $7 in advance at Flannery's Pub at 200 South Avenue in Fanwood.  For further information call 908-322-3700.
