‘2nd Sundays’ in Downtown Westfield Launches with Yoga on Quimby

WESTFIELD, NJ — The first event of a new series in Downtown Westfield, 2nd Sundays, kicked off with Yoga on Quimby Sunday morning and afternoon despite overcast conditions and scattered sprinkles and drizzle.

Quimby Street was blocked off and designated for pedestrians only for several hours Sunday for the Wellness in the Street free yoga class organized by Tricia Camino of Ono Bowls.

Participating Westfield businesses included Athleta, Bella Oraganici, Brassy Buddha Yoga Studio, Club Pilates, Everlasting Haven Spa & Wellness Studio, Just Bead Yourself, Kika Stretch Studios, Learning Express, Little Nest Portraits, R Studio Lash Spa, Satsang Yoga Studio and Spice Bazaar.

Satsang Yoga and Brassy Buddha Yoga Studio led participants in a one-hour practice early in the morning before Kika Stretch Studio opened up the event by leading a light opening stretch. Kiosks were set up with demonstrations and signups for special deals with the participating businesses.

The first in a recurring series of events on the second Sunday of each month, Yoga on Quimby featured demonstrations and various product offerings by health and wellness providers from Downtown Westfield, as well as entertainment for kids and fresh juice and smoothies for all.
