WESTFIELD, NJ — The New Jersey Festival Orchestra presented its season finale, In London Town, at the Presbyterian Church in Westfield Saturday night. It was auspicious timing, as the royal wedding had taken place in England just that morning.
“We were so happy when Prince Harry and his bride picked our finale date,” Linda Doyle, executive director of the NJFO said to the audience.
The orchestra got two standing ovations from the crowd, including for Ralph Vaughan Williams' "The Lark Ascending," which featured concertmaster Anton Miller on the solo violin part.
The program also featured Sir Edward Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro for Strings and Haydn’s Symphony No. 104.
