Baglien Wins Fanwood 5K on Sunday

FANWOOD, NJ - Runners and walkers had perfect weather for the annual Fanwood 5K and Family Fun Run, held Sunday.

Jerry Baglien, a Fanwood resident, was the first to cross the finish line in the 5K, with a time of 18:55.11. Fanwood resident Daniel Jablon finished fourth with a time of 19:57.48. Robert Lynn of Fanwood was sixth with a time of 20:08.00.

Robbie Matos of Scotch Plains placed eighth with a time of 20:16.68.

The top female finisher was Polly Harrison of Basking Ridge with a time of 20:24.33. Bridge Sherratt of Fanwood finished second among women with a time of 21:17.83.

The title sponsor of the Family Fun Run portion of the event was Elizabethtown Gas.
