SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ – Monday’s Group 4, Section 2 state tournament baseball game between Scotch Plains-Fanwood and Union was suspended with the Raiders leading by a 4-0 margin after six innings. 

The game was in the top of the seventh inning when the skies opened up, and the field was deemed unplayable after an extensive amount of rain and thunder. Senior Jack DeFouw pitched six shutout innings. 

When the game resumes at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Union will be down to its final three outs.
