SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders 9U White team won the New Providence Gold League (West Division) title with a 10-3 victory over Summit on Friday night. The Raiders finished 10-1 on the season.

In Clark, the SPF Raiders 12U jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Clark erupted for a 14-run inning in the bottom of the second inning highlighted by Mason Randazza's grand slam and a 3-run shot by Danny McCaffery. Raider pitching held the Vipers to just one run the rest of the way, but the lead proved insurmountable as Clark held on for a 15-9 victory.

"Our goal was to win or tie each inning, and in five of the innings tonight, we did just that," said 12U manager John Mooney. "Clark hit the ball hard in the second, and that one bad inning was the difference in the game."
