Battle of Bands Fundraiser on May 10 at Nick’s Pizza in Fanwood

FANWOOD, NJ -- Local favorite Nick’s Pizza will host a fundraiser on Wednesday, May 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the annual Battle of Bands show at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. Ten percent of all sales will go toward producing the event, including expenses such as printing tickets and purchasing concessions to sell.

All money raised at the event itself will be donated to the Relay for Life of SPF and the American Cancer Society. Battle of Bands will occur on May 26th at 6:00 p.m.

The event, which is always a much-anticipated showcase of student talent, will feature sets from five student-run bands. In between acts, a variety of soloists will take the stage and perform a wide range of styles.

This year, seniors Dylan Voltz and Alison Zimmerman are organizing the event and are hoping for continued success in maintaining the staple that this always-entertaining musical talent show that it has become to SPFHS students and the community.

“Battle has been an awesome tradition in the high school for the past few years and we hope that this year is just as enjoyable as previous ones,” said Zimmerman.

To support an event that brings students, peers and the community together for a good cause and a fun night, attend the Nick’s fundraiser on May 10th and Battle of Bands on May 26th.
