SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Yeti MMA (2507 Rte. 22 West in Scotch Plains) welcomes Big Ten Champion Ohio State wrestling coach Tom Ryan to host a clinic at the facility's Yale Street Wrestling Club on May 20.

“Coach Ryan will be bringing us the finest and newest techniques that he also teaches in the OSU wrestling room," says Yale Street Wrestling Club founder Donnie DeFilippis, a renowned local wrestling coach. "He'll review basic techniques that newer wrestlers need to learn, and these are the same skills that advanced athletes must continually practice. I've known Tom a long time, dating back to when he was the coach at Hofstra.

Ryan has led the Ohio State wrestling program to unprecedented heights, culminating in 2015 with the program's first ever national championship. Ryan concluded his 10th season in Columbus last March. During the season, he guided the Buckeyes to the Big Ten championship and saw Myles Martin (174 lbs.) and Kyle Snyder (285 lbs.) win NCAA titles. The Buckeyes made their fourth Top Three finish at the NCAA Championships in the last 10 years.
