Bob Kruthers honored for 55 years of service to Fanwood Rescue Squad

FANWOOD, NJ - Bob Kruthers received an award for his 55 years of service to the Fanwood Rescue Squad at the annual Fire Department/Rescue Squad awards dinner Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Berkeley Plaza, Berkeley Heights.

Bob joined the Rescue Squad in 1957, the year CPR was first being introduced as a life saving technique for civilians. Bob is currently the Rescue Squad's treasurer and has served in many other capacities. He is one of only three squad members to respond to over 5,000 calls.
