LINDEN, NJ - Joe Sebastian continued his sensational season in goal and Erick Fraga scored to lift the Union Catholic boys soccer team to a thrilling 1-0 overtime victory over Linden on Tuesday night.
After a pair of one-goal losses to the start the season, UC is now unbeaten its last five games to improve to 4-2-1 on the season.
Union Catholic, which played to 0-0 draw vs. Linden on Oct. 20, scored the game-winner when Fraga headed in a corner kick from Matt Costeira.
Sebastian, a junior, made nine saves to record his fourth shutout of the season and third in a row. He's allowed just five goals in seven games!
UC Head Coach Tim Breza was ecstatic over the way his team played.
"It's just a incredible team win against a very talented and well coached Linden team,'' said Coach Breza. "The boys continue to battle through these difficult games and are able to come together and find a way to win. Tonight was a great example of their grit!''
