SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ --  Dylan Jasey and Daniel Pita scored and Joseph Sebastian played a great game in goalie to spark the Union Catholic boys soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Brearley for its first win of the season in the home opener on Tuesday.

Jasey, a junior, made an immediate impact in his first game for the Vikings (1-2) when he gave UC a 1-0 lead in the first half off a nice feed from Jahi Dillard. Pita, a junior, converted on his second penalty kick of the season late in the game to secure the victory. Dillard, who played a great all-round game and applied lots of pressure on Brearley with several great runs, was taken down in the box to set up the penalty kick.

Sebastian, who has played strong between the posts all season, made five saves, including some point-blank stops, to earn his first varsity shutout.
