Boys Swimming: Raiders Top Millburn, Advance to Second Straight Sectional Final

SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ – The Scotch Plains-Fanwood boys varsity swim team extended their near-perfect season on Monday, defeating Millburn in the NJSIAA Sectional semifinal,103-67.

Josh Cohen won the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke, and led off the victorious 200 Medley Relay. Chris Bondarowicz won the 200 Freestyle, and Nolan Kearns finished first in the 50 Freestyle.

"The boys did what they need to do today," Raiders head coach Jess Hulnik said. "I'm glad we are advancing to the NJSIAA Sectional final for the second year in a row."

The Raiders, who reclaimed their Sectional crown last year, will look to repeat against the same opponent in the Morristown Colonials.

The North Jersey Section 2, Public B final will be held at Raritan Bay Area YMCA in Perth Amboy, NJ on Friday, Feb. 12 (time TBA).
