SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood boys swam past Cranford, 100-60, at Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA on Tuesday, Jan. 9.  
 
Nick Heath won the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly, while Drew Burfeindt won the 200 IM and led off the winning 400 Freestyle Relay team for the Raiders.
 
Charlie Desimone won the 50 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke and swam on Cranford's winning 200 Medley Relay squad. Thomas  Cutro also had a big day for the Cougars by winning the 100 Freestyle and leading off the victorious 200 Medley Relay team.

  • 200 FREESTYLE RELAY: Hough-Cohen-Shao-Daniskas, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 1:42.36
  • 100 BACKSTROKE: Daniel Donaldson, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 1:01.99
  • 100 BREASTSTROKE: Charlie Desimone, Cranford
  • 400 FREESTYLE RELAY: Burfeindt-Kanu-Morbello-Malone, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 4:00.12
The Raiders improved to 4-3 on the season and will next swim away at Summit on Jan. 16. Cranford hosts Gov. Livingston on Thursday.
