Brownie Girl Scout Troops 40821 and 40965 from Brunner Elementary School in Scotch Plains marked the holiday season by caroling at the Chelsea Assisted Living Community.

During the December 14 event the girls sang seasonal songs and gave out cookies and door prizes. This was one of several requirements toward earning the Philanthropist badge. Troop leader Jennifer Fazio reports that “good cheer was had by all.”

Fanwood-Scotch Plains is one of 138 communities in Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, which serves over 25,000 girls and 11,000 adult members in 7 counties across central New Jersey. For more information, call (908) 518-4400 or go to http://www.gshnj.org.
