SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ – Boy Scout Troop 104 celebrated the accomplishments of Eagle Scout Michael Gentile in a Court of Honor held Saturday at All Saints Episcopal Church.
Eagle Scout is the highest rank in Boy Scouting. In order to reach the rank of Eagle, a scout must earn a series of earlier ranks, complete at least 21 merit badges, and plan and execute a community service project.
Gentile’s project was the refurbishing of the stage and an under-stage storage area at All Saints. He led a team of scouts, leaders and volunteers in completing the work.
Scotch Plains Mayor Kevin Glover attended the ceremony and read a Proclamation issued by the Township of Scotch Plains congratulating Gentile for his achievement.
