Penny Colman on Celebrating Women

In honor of Women's History Month, Scotch Plains Public Library invites the public to an evening with Penny Colman on Thursday, March 20, at 7:00 pm.  Ms. Colman will present Celebrating Women, a dynamic program of unique photographs and lively commentary based on her many road trips in search of historic women's landmarks.

Ms. Colman is the author of award-winning biographies and social histories. Her intriguing topics range from Rosie the Riveter: Women Working on the Home Front in World War II to Thanksgiving: The True Story. A popular speaker, she has appeared on television, radio, including National Public Radio, and on Book TV, C-Span2.

This program is free and open to all interested participants. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance through the library’s website: http://www.scotlib.org or by phone: 908-322-5007, x.204 or e-mail: library@scotlib.org. 

The Scotch Plains Library is located at 1927 Bartle Avenue, one block from Park Avenue in the center of town.
