Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Scotch Plains Township Council, we invite all residents in need of full-time or part-time employment to attend the 2020 Census Job Fair on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019 at the Scotch Plains Public Library (1927 Bartle Ave.) from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The 2020 Census is fast approaching and the need for a complete and accurate 2020 Census count cannot be overstated. Funding for our community’s public resources and our voice in government are all at stake in our census count.

The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to hire 64,000 people in the state of New Jersey for a variety of positions. There are field positions and office positions available. The hours are flexible and salaries in Union County start at $21 per hour.
