Child Care Course Offered at Union County College in January

CRANFORD, NJ – The Office of Continuing Education at Union County College is offering the Child Development Associate Certificate Program in English and Spanish beginning in January 2017.

Child Care: The Foundations (English) course will teach participants about the growth and development of children, general health care, nutrition, how to develop educational activities, and play and child safety standards. Part 1 of this two part course will be held at the Cranford campus on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from January 3 through February 2. Part 2 of the course will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 7 and will conclude on Thursday, March 21. The cost of each course is  $225. Both courses will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Cuidado de Ninos: Los Fundamentos (Spanish) course will be offered in a daytime session on the Cranford campus. Part 1 will be held from Tuesday, Jan. 3 through Feb. 2. Part 2 will be held Tuesday, February 7 and will end on March 21. The cost of each course is $225. Both courses will be held from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

The Scotch Plains Library is located at 1927 Bartle Ave., one block from Park Ave. in the center of town.
